Jimmy Currently campaigns a Willys Gasser. Built 14 years ago, the car was based on Mike Mitchell the Worlds fastest Hippy’s 33 Willys race car. Originally running a 390 big block, the car is moving steadily upwards to a 536ci alcohol engine. Running a box and tube section chassis, 57 olds rear axel, tube front with parallel leaves. Initially running 11.52 quarters the car has run 9.21 at 146mph.
Next on the cards is an 8 with a new valley gas built motor. Pictured in Rodders Journal, Rod and Custom, Custom Car, French Nitro, American Classic, an Art Exhibition, Goodwood Festival of Speed, qualifying number 8 at the Nitro Olympics, one of the oldest and fastest running gassers in the country.
